3 Ways To Boost Your Performance At Work

Many people go to work every day only to find that their performance is starting to drag.  This can be especially frustrating when you would sincerely like to be able to be more productive but can’t seem to pull it together.  Try as you might, no matter how fast you think you’re going, you find that you simply aren’t making the numbers at the end of your workday.  Managing your business and work load seems to be out of your control which can be frustrating.

If you’ve been feeling the effects of being less than productive and aren’t sure how to make an improvement, look no further.  Here are some of the best ways to be more productive almost instantly.

Ditch Your Phone

Your phone may seem like an innocent distraction.  However, if you were to track how many times a day you pulled it out to scroll through, you may be shocked to find how much work you could have accomplished throughout those increments.

Rather than allowing yourself to look at your phone frequently throughout the day whenever you fancy, why not set a limit for yourself.  It’s best to put your phone in a drawer on silent unless you’re on a break.

This way you won’t see your phone as an integral part of your day, but more of a luxury to check when you have some free time.

Wake Up Earlier

Waking up earlier will ensure that your body knows that it’s time to get going sooner in the day.  If you start your day later it may take you longer to start getting into the flow of production.

Try waking up one to two hours earlier than normal.  You won’t only be more awake once work starts, but you may even get some extra pending tasks done before you show up.

Eat a Healthy Meal

Eating on the go at work is a common thing since a lot of people are too busy to make proper nutritional efforts.  They may eat at whatever fast food place they can find which is packed full of fat and calories.

Unfortunately, this kind of heavily processed food can take its toll on our bodies and brains.  We will feel sluggish and tired rather than energized and healthy.

Make sure that you bring something that is full of whole grains, fiber, and raw fruits and vegetables.  This will charge your brain full of the nutrition that it needs for optimal focus and energy.

Not only will you feel the health effects of making this a habit, but you’ll feel a difference in your wallet as well since packing your lunch costs considerably less than eating in a restaurant.
